Improving the health of disadvantaged populations worldwide
Disadvantaged populations in both higher and lower income countries suffer a disproportionate share of the disease burden. In addition, they are often poorly served by existing health systems. Our work aims to find practical ways to improve the health status of disadvantaged populations.

Better management of common chronic and critical conditions
Chronic diseases, such as heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes and stroke, are now leading causes of death and disability in both lower and higher income countries. We look for new ways to improve the prevention and treatment of these conditions in both community and hospital settings.
