
Evidence Syntheses Specialist (3 positions)
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive rapid review requests from various health systems actors and discuss with them on an a final agreed upon rapid evidence syntheses product with timelines
- Conduct rapid evidence syntheses of appropriate quality to deliver rapid review products as per timelines
- Present products in different formats to different stakeholders
- Disseminate ERESU products in various formats
- Conduct training activities on rapid evidence syntheses
- Organise and conduct dissemination events, including liaising with various stakeholders for the purpose
- Support to Advocacy of ERESU and its products in different fora and with various stakeholders
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications
- Contribute to development and implementation of strategic document on sustainability of ERESU
- Contribute to development and implementation of process evaluation of the ERESU
- Conduct methodological research on the domain of rapid evidence syntheses and knowledge translation
- Identify and document best practices and innovations within ERESU
- Undertake such other assignments, which may be assigned by from time to time by the ERESU leads
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Post graduate degree in public health/ health systems/ health policy / public policy / community medicine. Candidates with Medical Council of India’s (MCI) recognised DPH degree are also eligible to apply*
- 1-3 years of work experience*
- Demonstrated ability to conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses / qualitative evidence syntheses / cost-effectiveness systematic reviews in the field of healthcare
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Familiarity/experience in health policy and systems research
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and the Internet
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, managing relationships with external partners and engaging stakeholders, including those in government
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well flexibly, i.e. independently and engaging with research teams
Desirable:
- Peer-reviewed publications on systematic reviews
- Demonstrated experience of conducting rapid systematic reviews of any genre
- Experience in training / conducting workshops on research methods / evidence syntheses
- Demonstrated experience of conducting health policy and systems relevant systematic reviews
- Demonstrated ability of working in multi-disciplinary teams , including international collaborators with tight deadlines
*Formal educational qualification and experience could be relaxed when there is published work or whenever there is work experience of specific relevance
