Aboriginal Research Officer
Elizabeth Hillmann identifies as a proud Gamilaraay woman. Born in Inverell, Elizabeth has spent most of her life between New South Wales and Victoria. Elizabeth has an extensive background in Child Protection and Child welfare and has a passion for working with young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. She brings with her knowledge of working with young people from diverse backgrounds and a great awareness for culture.
Elizabeth is an active volunteer at Mingaletta Aboriginal and Torres Islander Cooperation at Umina NSW; she manages the boys’ basketball team the Mingaletta Mob and dedicates her time to projects at Mingaletta and the community. Elizabeth’s focus is on delivering the study in a culturally appropriate manner and aiming for better Health and wellbeing outcomes for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Elizabeth resides on the Central Coast NSW with her husband, four daughters and one son.
