Kate Burling is the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Specialist for the Social Disruptive Entrepreneurship Program at the George Institute and works within the Critical Care division to embed entrepreneurial practices within the research team.

She has a Bachelor of Commerce, specialising in Marketing from The University of Sydney and an MBA, specialising in Entrepreneurship and Management from The University of Canberra. She has 10+ years experience working in the commercial sector at organisations such as Apple and Deloitte, and within the education and consumer technology industries.

Kate is passionate about the role that social enterprise can have within healthcare to produce positive outcomes for patients and global health, particularly in low-resource communities such as low-to-middle income countries.
