Chris Anderson

Chris is an intensive care consultant who works at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He completed the majority of his critical care training in Sydney, Australia and has deployed to the Middle East whilst a permanent member of the Australian Defence Force. His main clinical interests are acute respiratory failure, trauma and neurocritical care.

Chris is an early career researcher and currently an honorary research fellow at the Kadoorie Centre within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Oxford University. In 2015 he completed a Master of Clinical Trials Research, a course designed and run by the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre to furnish the next generation of researchers with skills necessary to appraise, design and lead clinical trials. He is also nearing completion on a PhD under the supervision of Professor Simon Finfer and Associate Professor Anthony Delaney on the standardisation of outcome measures in critical care. Other research interests are the immunological responses to severe acute pneumonia and sepsis and improving the outcome measures used in the appraisal of rapid response systems.
